What happens in a medical emergency?Our private sessions take place in various locations, and regardless of the venue, we always have access to emergency aid and the hospital. We have not encountered any emergencies during our ceremonies. For group retreats, we remain in communication with the local emergency team, and at least one facilitator is certified in first aid.

Can I combine a Breathwork Session with a Psychedelic Therapeutic Session?Certainly! You have the option to book the two sessions separately and choose to combine them on the same day if desired, or schedule them for different days.

What's the main difference between a 1:1 Private Breathwork Session and a Breathwork Group Session?The main difference is that, on the one hand, in the Group Breathwork Session the processes that unfold gets activated by the connection between participants. That can be really helpful as some processes need the support and opening that happens when we are in relationship with others. The group dynamic can create a shared energy and sense of community. These sessions may also include guided meditation, group sharing and sound healing. On the other hand, 1:1 Private Breathwork Sessions are tailored specifically to your needs, goals and preferences. The practitioner works closely to you, providing personalized guidance and support throughout the Session. It can be beneficial if you want to address specific personal challenges, working through emotional blockages and diving into deeper levels of self-discovery and healing. The choice between a Breathwork Group Session or a 1:1 Private Breathwork Session depends on the individual preferences, level of support desired and specific goals and intentions.

What is Anima Institute's cancellation policy for all services?At Anima Insitute, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your wellness appointments. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our clients and our practitioners. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Cancellations or changes made within this timeframe will not incur any fees. However, for cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or in the event of a no-show, you will be charged 50% of the service fee. This policy is in place to ensure that our practitioners' time is respected and that we can accommodate other clients who may be on a waiting list. How will the Psilocybin Therapeutic Session be?The session is scheduled during daylight hours and typically lasts for approximately 6-8 hours. We kindly request that you refrain from making any immediate plans or commitments following the ceremony, allowing yourself the necessary time and space to fully immerse in the experience and reflect on it for the remainder of the day. Alternatively, having the support of a trusted friend or partner by your side during this time can also be beneficial. Once we arrive at your location, we will begin with a one-on-one therapy session. After our conversation, we will prepare the psilocybin tea and, when you feel ready, you can consume it. The effects of the journey usually begin within 30 to 60 minutes, although in some cases it may take up to 2 hours. The peak effects are typically experienced around the 2-hour mark and whole journey can last for 4 to 7 hours. Throughout the session, we will be there to guide and support you, ensuring that you remain focused on your intention and helping you navigate any challenges that may arise. As you embark on your journey, we work energetically to protect the space and release any stagnant or negative energies that you may be carrying. If any unresolved emotions or traumas surface, whether from your past or present, we are equipped to facilitate and provide the necessary support for healing and growth. Our expertise encompasses Western therapeutic practices, Shamanic techniques, Energy Work, Internal Family Systems, Inner Child work, amongst others. Following your Psilocybin Therapeutic Session, we will schedule an Integration Session for the following day or in the days that follow. These sessions can be conducted either in person or online. Additionally, if you wish to continue the process, you have the option to book separate Integration Sessions. It is generally recommended to continue the support with further Integration Sessions, that you can book separately, as your insights crystallize and you work on developing new habits in your life. However, the choice to do so is yours.

How do I prepare for the Session?Once you have enrolled in the Psilocybin Therapeutic Session, we will provide you with a Preparation booklet containing important information for your experience. This will enable you to start incorporating practices that can support you in your journey. You will also have a Preparation Session with one of our practitioners to get to know each other, address any questions you may have, and receive guidance on diet, precautions, legalities, possible side effects, and strategies to minimize and cope with them. We will emotionally and mentally prepare you for what to expect, help you connect with your intention, and ensure you are ready to make the most out of your trip. For participating in the Psilocybin Therapeutic Session, there is no specific diet required, but we highly recommend a vegetarian diet to cleanse your body. We also recommend that you have an empty stomach when we will meet on the day of the session, meaning you should not eat anything within 2 hours before the session begins. However, you can have a light breakfast if desired. We strongly advise to avoid coffee, caffeinated tea, and sugary drinks on the morning of the experience. Additionally, it is best to abstain from alcohol for at least 3 days prior to the session. If you are traveling to the location of your Psilocybin Therapeutic Session (within Europe or from abroad), we recommend arriving at least a day before the session. This allows you to settle into your rental accommodation and feel comfortable for the following day when the experience takes place.

How will my dosing be like?When it comes to dosage, we take into account your overall health, sensitivity levels, psychedelic experience, and specific needs and intentions. We initially use a standardized measurement of 2.5 to 4 grams of dried Psilocybin mushrooms or 12.5 to 20 grams of fresh truffles. However, we customize the dosage based on the factors mentioned above. If you prefer a gentle start, we can titrate the dose. This means that we gradually increase the dose as you begin to feel the effects and understand how it affects your body. This approach is particularly useful for first-time users. On the other hand, some individuals may feel more comfortable starting with a higher dose, as titration preferences are highly personal. During your preparation call with our practitioner, we will assess your needs and ensure that you are in a comfortable position to achieve your desired experience.

How much time is needed between the first, second and third Psilocybin Therapeutic Sessions if I decide to book several ones?If you decide to book multiple Psilocybin Therapeutic Sessions, it is important to allow enough time between each session. The specific time needed between sessions may vary depending on individual circumstances. We recommend to wait at least one day in between each session, so the light tolerance in your system can gently decrease. We usually recommend to have one or two days in between sessions, this time frame has been successful for most of our clients. In case you would experience light tolerance in subsequent sessions, we offer boosters where the dose can be tailored to ensure a profound experience similar to the first session. We have observed, throughout the years of experience, that with Psilocybin higher doses don't necessarily result in a stronger effect. Medium doses tend to be more effective for the majority of clients.

What to do if I am feeling nervous/anxious before the Session?If you are feeling nervous or anxious before the Psilocybin Therapeutic Session, there are several steps you can take to help ease your anxiety. - Communicate with your practitioner: Reach out to your facilitator and share your feelings. We are trained to provide support and guidance throughout the process and can offer reassurance and advice. - Practice relaxation techniques: Engage in techniques that can help calm your body and mind. - Create a comfortable environment: Prior to the Session, create an environment that makes you feel cozy and conducive to relaxation. - Engage in grounding practices: Activities that help you feel grounded and connected to the present moment ease the feelings of anxiety and nervousness. - Seek social support: Reach out to supportive friends, family or loved ones that can offer emotional support. - Trust the process: Remind yourself that the Psilocybin Therapeutic Session is a therapy modality that has shown promising results in many individuals. Trust in the experience and the guidance of your practitioner. Remember, it is normal to feel nervous or anxious before a Psilocybin Session. By taking these steps and relying on the support of your practitioner, you can help ease your feelings. You will receive guidance in the Preparation booklet that can support you with practices that you can put in place to manage your emotions and thoughts.

What if I can't be left alone after the Session?We will provide support until you feel comfortable being alone and fully grounded again. It is important to have nourishing food that you can eat after our Session together so you can come back to the present moment and feel centered. It is very uncommon for someone to require ongoing support and present, as most participants are able to be alone after the session. Your practitioner will also provide you with their phone number for any emergencies or additional support you may need. However, if you have a serious fear about being alone afterwards, you have the option to arrange for a support person to accompany you and be present in the evening after the Session ends.

Can I fly home right after the Session and continue with my daily responsibilities?After the session, most people are usually well enough to travel the day after. We recommend having an additional day to feel centered and fully yourself before traveling, although this is a personal choice. It's possible that you may still be integrating insights and may not want to be in a busy airport or train station. However, the session could also be gentle and energizing, making you feel fine to travel. Some individuals decide to bring a family member, friend, or partner for support in the evening after the experience. If having someone with you would make you feel more at ease and comfortable, you are welcome to do so. Your facilitator will be there with you throughout the entire experience, and you may want to be alone for reflection afterwards. Most participants enjoy the time alone afterwards to journal or rest. During the experience, you will be alone with the practitioner to fully let go and delve deep into the journey. In terms of your daily activities, you can resume your normal life, but we suggest taking a few days off before returning to work.
