THE ANIMA APPROACH
Embodied Work for Real Change.
At Anima Healing Institute, we support the full arc of transformation. Our work meets people at different stages, from grounding and healing, deep experiential work, to integration and embodied leadership.
Rooted in trauma-informed practices, integrative and somatic therapies, ancestral wisdom, and live music. We prioritize safety, coherence, and long-term integration.
What This Work Is About
Anima focuses on what allows change to last.
Anima Healing Institute's work is grounded in the body, in the nervous system and in lived experience. It is practiced in daily life, in choices, in relationships, and in the way we hold ourselves when things are not easy. It does not rely on insight alone, nor does it ask for performance or striving. What it asks for is attention, presence, and willingness.
It is practical, embodied, and unapologetically real. The point is not comfort or escape. The point is to meet life with the capacities you are cultivating, to live with alignment and presence even when the world pushes back.

Music and (when included) plant-based practices are used as ways of deepening awareness, coherence, and remembering.
Parts Work, Relational Presence & Attunement
We emphasize presence, clear boundaries, and attuned facilitation, creating containers where people can feel seen.

All work is grounded in an understanding of the nervous system and the body as primary gateways to healing.
Ongoing Integration

We work as an ongoing process, supporting continuity so experiences can be embodied and sustained.

THE FOUNDER.
Costanza Ayni
Costanza works with people at moments of transition, whether they are coming back to their truth, going deep, integrating insights, or stepping into leadership. Across the four Paths of Anima, she holds the container so transformation can land in the body and last.
She brings an integrative approach that combines Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, breathwork, meditation and ancient practices learned in the Amazon. Music, ceremony, and presence are woven into the work, helping people meet themselves fully and safely.
In addition to this, she teaches and mentors students to become ethical facilitators, offering the Music Apprenticeship and Breathwork Training, as well as Supervision and Mentorships, sharing methods developed over years of study and practice. These are informed by both traditional wisdom and trauma-informed clinical approaches.

What Research Points Toward
Each person’s journey is different, yet these insights show what makes transformation possible.

Insight Alone Is Not Enough
Modern research echoes what ancient systems have long understood: lasting change does not come from insight alone. It happens when understanding is accompanied by embodied experience.

The Nervous System Matters
Studies in trauma and relational healing show that when the nervous system feels resourced, it naturally begins to reorganize. Regulation, coherence, and resilience emerge from this foundation.

The Body Supports Regulation
During deep and restorative sleep, the body and brain consolidate learning, integrate emotional shifts, making transformation durable. The practices offered help the system relax and rest.

Creativity Opens the System
Imagination and creative exploration engage the nervous system in new ways, offering flexibility, perspective, and the freedom to experiment with how we respond to life.

Supporting, Not Fixing
The paths don’t treat the system as broken. They focus on creating conditions where the body and psyche can respond with more flexibility and choice.

Neuroplasticity Makes It Stick
The brain’s ability to reorganize itself, called neuroplasticity, allows new patterns, habits, and emotional responses to form. Supporting it helps insight become lived change.

Getting Started
Anima focuses on what allows change to last.
Most people begin with Root, others begin with Deepen or enter after retreats, therapy, or other deep experiences to Integrate. There is no single correct path, only what feels right to you.
Explore the paths.
Take your time.
Begin where it fits.
